pAges Of TIMe - ReSPECt FOr THe DeAD

Respect for the dead

the moonlight casts a shadow of the tree on her..
where she sits writing down her memories..
putting her anger and pain into words..
turning all her anguish into stories..

the wind blows in her hair..
as her tears stain the page..
she caresses the damp paper..
trying to control her increasing rage..

Her tears continue to fall,
mixing with the dirt.
A part of her falling onto the soil,
becoming one with the earth.

She brushes away her straying hair,
as it attempts to cover her eyes.
She continues writing to her loved ones;
her last goodbyes.

She finishes and gets up,
wiping the sand off her dress.
The urge to kill herself wells up within her;
it's a feeling she cannot suppress.

She walks towards the old well,
and it is time for it all to end.
She jumps into the dark hole,
her life on God will now depend.

The moment has passed,
her soul has left this world and fled.
Everything stands still for a second,
in respect for the dead.
