Pages Of Time - The Last Goodbye..

The stray child stands all alone,
on a huge mountain of sand.
Tears of blood run down his small face,
with no one to turn to in this land.

The wind causes sand to swirl around him,
his tattered garments flapping in the breeze.
His footprints in the sand get blown away,
a sign that, now, forever his existence will cease.

His tears of blood almost dry up,
before they hit the parched earth.
The intensity of the blazing sun,
leaves everything devoid of mirth.

The ground embraces the small droplet,
that makes it to the desert's floor.
It makes the tears a part of it,
even though the child is no more.

Years later a lone skeleton is found,
of a small, under nourished boy.
Buried under tons of desert sand,
the size of a childs' small toy.

God plays a strange game with us,
letting those who deserve to live die.
This is in memory of the millions of dead kids,
from me to you, the last goodbye.
